• Settings › Command Line installs the downbit command in /usr/local/bin, on every terminal's PATH, asking for your password when macOS needs it, like VS Code and Zed. It no longer lands in /opt/homebrew/bin with a warning that it isn't in your PATH. Once it's installed, Reinstall links it again, to this copy of Downbit.

• The browser finds HLS streams in players embedded from other sites, and streams whose address doesn't end in .m3u8. Each one it finds shows its address, and downloads as a stream rather than as a file.
• New: Twitch and Kick live channels, SoundCloud artist pages, YouTube channels' Live tab, YouTube Music albums and artists, hashtags and search results, and YouTube Kids.
• YouTube playlists no longer stop at 100 videos.
• Fixed: Reddit posts that failed with 403, Vimeo videos that play only where they're embedded, X videos in cards and carousels, private SoundCloud links, and Instagram reels that asked to sign in.
• Tumblr, Imgur, Loom, Internet Archive and VK read more of their links, and more link forms of Facebook, Dailymotion, X, Twitch, TikTok, Reddit, Bilibili, Odysee, PeerTube, VK, Vimeo and Bluesky work.
• Help › Report an Issue, and Report Issue on a failed download, open an issue with the version and system written in.

• When Bilibili gives only 480p for being signed out, the link's preview and the format list say so, with a Sign In link that opens Downbit's browser on the video.

• The browser's address bar follows pages that change their address without loading another page, as YouTube does going from video to video.

• Downbit's browser blocks ads and trackers, with EasyList and EasyPrivacy, or the lists Settings › Browser offers. YouTube's videos play without their ads.
• YouTube downloads no longer fail with 403 when YouTube would play an ad first: they wait the few seconds it asks, "Waiting for the site…".

• Where YouTube asks to sign in to confirm you're not a bot, videos download with the sign-in of Downbit's browser, in the app and the command line. Without one, the error says to sign in there.

• Pictures are kept in a cache folder across launches, so a download's cover or a file's picture shows at once, and only those nothing showed for 30 days are let go; memory holds only what the windows showed lately, a failed picture fetched again.
• A picture no window showed lately comes back with the window, rather than a blank frame while it loads.
• On Windows and Linux the link field starts at the left, where the window's buttons aren't, and a gear beside the menu opens the settings.
• The settings scroll under a frosted toolbar, a gray sidebar beside a white pane.
• A link's panel sits under the field at the left too, and the field's icon no longer hides the end of a long link.

• A Pro license or trial unlocks every Pro feature, those to come too, without checking with the license server again when the app updates.

• Downbit Pro adds recording a live stream, file name templates and folders for sites and playlists, adding downloads to Music or TV, and more than 2 downloads at once. Without it, files are named by their titles in the downloads folder and 2 download at once; the settings show PRO badges and keep what was chosen with Pro, for when it's back.
• A Pro license gets the new features as soon as the app checks it.
• The settings say a feature needs Pro in their own window.
• A mouse's side buttons, and swipes between pages, go back and forward among the settings' panes.

• A playlist's link lists its items under the field, all checked, to download those you choose: one part of a Bilibili video, say. Return downloads them too.
• A Bilibili video's parts are named by their titles alone, not "P1" and the title.
• A click outside a link's preview closes it, the link staying in the field; clicking the field shows it again.
• A click anywhere on the link field, above or below its text or on its icon, goes in.
• The preview's buttons leave the field focused, so typing goes on.
• A finished download's picture flies from its card to its place in the library, and the rows around it glide to theirs.

• The browser shows a toast when it adds something to the downloads.
• The empty space of the main window, and of the browser's toolbar, moves the window.
• The sliding progress bar stays inside its track.
