Is Free really free?
Yes. Downbit Free has no time limit and needs no key. Pro adds the features listed here; everything else is in Free.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. You pay $19 once and keep Pro for good, with every future update. Nothing renews.
How many computers can I use Pro on?
Three, any mix of Macs, PCs and Linux. To move Pro to another computer, remove one in Downbit’s License settings.
How does the trial work?
Start it in Downbit’s License settings: all of Pro for 14 days, with no key and no payment. Each computer has one trial. When it ends, Downbit goes back to Free, and what you downloaded stays.
Does Pro need the internet?
Now and then. The license is checked on your computer, offline, and renewed with the license server about once a month.
How do I pay?
Through Stripe Checkout. Your key shows as soon as you’ve paid, and it’s emailed to you too.
