Your downloads
Below the field is everything Downbit has downloaded and is downloading. Each download's picture fills in with color as it arrives.
While they download
A few downloads run at once and the rest wait their turn, each saying how many are ahead. Drag one to change the order, or right-click it and choose Download Next.
Pause and Resume are on each download, and Downloads → Pause All stops everything. Paused, or quit, a download picks up where it stopped. If the connection drops, it tries again on its own.
The computer stays awake until the downloads finish.
Live streams
A live stream records, marked LIVE, until you stop it. Stop and Save keeps what was recorded as a file; Discard throws it away. Quitting while something records asks first. Recording needs Downbit Pro.
Finding them
Finished downloads make your library. The tabs above it show All, Videos, Audio, what Failed, and your Subscriptions (⌘1 to ⌘4).
Type in the field to search them by title (⌘F).
What you can do with one
Double-click a finished download to open it, or drag it out into another app. Right-click it for the rest:
| Choose | To |
|---|---|
| Show in Finder | See the file in its folder (Show in Explorer on Windows) |
| Quick Look | Watch or listen without opening an app (Space, on a Mac) |
| Get Info | Its quality, format, size, length, page and where it’s saved (⌘I) |
| Copy Link | Copy the page it came from |
| Download Again | Download it once more, as Audio Only or as Video too |
| Remove from List | Take it off the list; the file stays (Delete) |
| Move to Trash | Delete the file too (⌘⌫) |
The downloads folder
Downloads go to your Downloads folder unless you choose another in Settings → General → Save downloads to. The bottom of the window shows the folder and how much space is free: click it to open the folder, or right-click it for Change Folder…. Downloads → Clear Finished empties the list without touching the files.
