Subscriptions
Paste a channel's or a playlist's link and choose Subscribe. From then on, its new videos download as they come out; what's there already doesn't.
The Subscriptions tab
The library's Subscriptions tab lists what you subscribe to, with when each was last checked and how many new videos it found. More on each has the rest:

How often
While Downbit is open, it checks every hour. Choose every 6 hours, every day, or only when you ask in Settings → General → Check for new videos. Downloads → Check Subscriptions Now checks them all at once.
What fails to download is tried again at the next check. To check while the app is closed, use the command line from a scheduled job.
