The menu bar
With Settings → General → Show in the menu bar on, Downbit keeps an icon there and goes on downloading with its window closed. Its menu downloads the link you copied, opens the browser, and pauses or resumes everything.
The Dock
While it downloads, Downbit's icon in the Dock (the taskbar on Windows) shows how many downloads are running and how far along they are.
